Funeral Annoucements
Here at Eden Freyja Family Funerals, we understand that planning a funeral is always hard, that’s why our funeral directors are always on hand to help you with all aspects of planning. If you wish to place an obituary notice in a local newspaper please let your dedicated funeral director know, and they will be happy to assist and do this on your behalf. We also offer an online Funeral noticeboard where a dedicated notice can be posted for your loved one.
Funeral Announcements
Both funeral announcements and Obituaries include the announcement of your loved one’s passing, but they serve different purposes.
Funeral Announcements or notices are traditionally printed in your local newspaper or magazine to announce your loved one’s death and provide details of the funeral for friends & family.
In more recent years these are now posted to family and friends via Social Media & Email, which more environmentally friendly, but also reaches a wider audience.
Please contact your dedicated funeral director if you wish for a funeral announcement to be made, the funeral arranger will work with you, on the theme of the announcement and include a photo chosen by you of your loved one, you will receive a proof before this is finalised. With your permission this will be posted on our social media, enabling you to share all details with your friends & family conveniently.
Obituaries
An Obituary is traditionally more of a memorial article or tribute to your loved one, giving more of a detailed account of your loved one’s life before passing, narrating their life and celebrating their achievements.
An Obituary is often complimented with a photo or collage of your loved one. These can also be published after the funeral and can include photos of your service, and thanks for attendance and if required the amount raised for the chosen charity.
Please contact your dedicated funeral arranger if you wish for obituary to be designed, the funeral arranger will work with you, on the theme, and include a photo/photo’s chosen by you of your loved one, you will receive a proof before this is finalised.
With your permission this will be posted on our social media, enabling you to share with your friends & family conveniently, to celebrate the life of your loved one.
